Elverson: The Best Square Mile in the Country

Why do I can claim to be an Elverson expert? I grew up in a stone farm house on South Pine Street in Elverson before it was a street. At the time, it was my family’s gravel driveway. I walked to school in my elementary years to the Elverson School on South Chestnut, now our Borough office. Although I left Elverson for college to earn a teaching degree and lived in Texas, Hagerstown, Maryland and then western Pennsylvania, I returned to Elverson in 1997 to join Stoltzfus Enterprises, my family business, selling homes, a welcome break from the rigors of teaching.

Upon my return to Elverson, I began to appreciate greatly all that my home town had become. Before I knew it, I was stepping in to help organize our annual Elverson Halloween Parade, a yearly tradition since the early 70s. I helped to jump start the Elverson Historical Commission which continues to promote the fabulous history of our small town. Our trees needed attention, so I organized the Elverson Shade Tree Commission which protects and plants street trees. I was elected to our town Council and especially love planning town events to promote community spirit such as our Main Street Yard Sale, our Elverson Farmers’ Market and the Day at the Park.

Elverson is, in my opinion “the best square mile in the country.” Selling Elverson properties is a joy because I enjoy introducing people to Elverson and love the properties I sell. If you’re thinking of moving to Elverson or need someone to sell your Elverson property, contact me, your Elverson expert.
